The Fastest Camera in the World: the PImMS sensor

A team of Oxford scientists, led by Claire Vallance, Mark Brouard, Renato Turchetta, and Andrei Nomerotski, have worked with industrial partners to create the 'fastest camera in the world' for detecting particles.

This work, funded by the EC, the EPSRC, the STFC and the Royal Society, has the potential to revolutionise spectrometry, and allow researchers to conduct more experiments in smaller spaces.
