I agree with you on the grammar issue. Most critiques I've gotten with regards to stories I've written tends to focus on grammar and punctuation as opposed to story and character development. Grammar is important, but far down the list of priorities when it comes to crafting a story. I did like you take on the podcast, I think by engaging with the people on the chat and keeping things more open and not primarily focused on one aspect leads to a more entertaining and informative podcast.
