I didn’t think this video would get that many views but to be fair, this has been up for 4 years and a bit, so maybe it was a given. Nevertheless, thank you!

This was my first try at sound design for anime and I’m not gonna lie, every time I watch/ listen to this video I cringe a little.. Not that I think it’s bad for a first attempt but i guess it’s because IT IS the first attempt and it sounds kinda… ehh? Idk idk

I’ll be making more of these sound design videos again soon and more often (I swear I’ll be more consistent this time). The reasoning being as to not get rusty and also just to see my progress if I am consistent with this.

The format will probably be most likely 30 seconds long for short clip sound designs so I don’t stay too long on one project. But I might also stick to 2-3min clips, just because it feels more applicable in the real thing.

Also, I’m considering explaining my process with 5 minute videos on how I make these sounds myself from scratch, but I have very little experience with video editing and capturing appropriate content, so we will have to see how it goes. I also wouldn’t want the videos to be too serious but it might just end up as a shitpost lol

I like the little repeating electronic sounds, but as the others say, add a lot more bass. But don’t just do that, try to watch out for how much you add, my guide is:

More of one bass sounds: one strong attack
Compressed, crunchy bass: a lot of power coming out from many at once

Hard bass with a lot of high end added on: Compressed or pressurised kind of laser attack
