Scripture Reading - Psalm 32 - City Church Connect

Scripture Readings from the new Sermon Series
Learning Prayer Through the Psalms
Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God. And yet far too often most of us feel as the disciples when they admitted to Jesus that their prayer life was less than what it should have been, “Lord, TEACH us to pray.” Perhaps you have thought more than once, “If only God left us a prayer book for us to model our prayers on.” The good news is that He has. It’s called the Book of Psalms.
In the Psalms we have the words of man (the individual Psalmist laying his case before God) and the words of God (The Holy Spirit inspiring these prayers as models for the Church). This summer we will focus on four common prayers that all Christians pray (fear, pain, sin, and doubt) as a template for every other type of prayer that can be prayed. The series will open and close with two important components of prayer: Praying according to Scripture and praying in Jesus’ name.
