Practical Problems [Blender 3.6]

Hey Guys! I finally finished this Mimi Sentry animation. For the Mimi Sentry model I modified it a tad bit to have more movable hair and better texture. I found my old Iron Giant model that I made when I was 11, so I decided to clean it up a bit and make a video out of it! I hope you enjoy it!

Way better than it has any right to be. The hand transform, the balancing, her scared twitchy reaction, her arm gripping her middle in pain and the eyes.

I love how Engineer’s final line encapsulates the Iron Giant as a character “sometimes you need a little less gun”, not to mention him eating the enemy sentry rather than going ballistic speaks highly to his character development and his consumption of metal

Just today I thought: "It's been a while since I've heard anything about mimi-sentry, the seal has completely swallowed up people" and I stumble upon this masterpiece. Without bullshit, this is the best animation about her in my memory, and maybe in general. The movements are perfectly animated, the frame rate is high, most of the animations about mimi-sentry are more like shitposts, compared to them this is a breath of fresh air.

I think it's just lore accurate that the Iron Giant eats the sentry gun, he's a robot that despises the idea of being used as a weapon and so he eats another robot used as a weapon.

This is studio-level polish. I like the flashing light when she gets an idea. The shadows changing as time passes, the little stumble as she hops off IG's hand.
The characters are really expressive in all your animations.

I like how Mimi acted more-or-less like Hogarth did when he met the Giant for the first time.

Also the Engie just shrugging off a giant metal beast like it's no big deal 😆😆😆

Honestly never expected to see the iron giant with tf2, especially with Mimi. But it all fits well together! Good animation btw.

Gad dang, growing up on Iron giant this really hits home for me, the subtle fave movements, the way his eyes flash a richer color of yellow at the hint of danger, thank you, this brightened my day, and shows this needs to be an on going friendship/mini series XD

This is a very neat and wholesome animation I must say, never imagine I’d see Iron Giant and Mimi put together into the same video, but you really pulled off the concept and execution.
