Not flaunting what you have helps you to read people's motives. For a number of years I drove old vehicles. I also drove a couple of old classic cars that my father has. Recently I bought a newer car for my wife. I've noticed for years that some people would treat me differently based on what I drive while others didn't. I have much more respect for the ones that treat me the same regardless of what clothes I wear or what car I drive. A genuine person will treat the janitor with just as much kindness as the CEO of the company, but a fake will not.

Rather than "looking poor" I prefer "not looking rich or wealthy" better.

The actual rich don't look poor. They look confident and comfortable. Not flashy and not talking / bragging about money.
They buy nice things--homes, cars, etc., etc. However, it is not flashy and certainly is never an enormous money drain. And most importantly, they never take loans/mortgages on anything.
They buy high quality, keep it, maintain, and don't talk about it.

I watch hundreds of these videos every week. My father was very rich but didn't seem any happier. What i find hard to understand, why build wealth and hide it away. All you end up doing is having a massive bank balance on ones tombstone for someone else to spend, that's what happened when my father died. I believe there is a wealth illness where folk are conditioned to continue building wealth till the day they die. Something has happened in their childhood where they have been humiliated at being poor. This scene continues to replay the scene everyday in their subconscious which means they can't change their behaviour until they seek a professional who will open up the scene and work with them to set it free.

Looking poor is good mindset. And more than that it's the realization that contentment grows inner peace and being humble is a show of character. A show of what a person can be when he is with more or when he is with none. And that is setting an example that status may change but it should not change the person's values and self respect.

We look pretty normal, if not poor. The mall sales people never stop us as we walk down the aisle. Our Net Worth is $5 million. So glad we look normal.

Its a balancing act. You dont want to waste money to keep up an appearance but you also should not look like a complete Hobo.

Keep in mind the reason you are being financially responsible is so that you can live a "quality & happy" life

You dont have to swing from one extreme to another.

I always wonders why so many people in financial industries like banking don’t do this. I remember my colleagues in the City of London laughing at me for using this approach back in the late 90s. They are probably still renting and getting up at 5am and taking the train in to work.

My father is filthy rich i have seen him in good times and in bad times but hed always dressed well notting flashy but he likes wearing gold and i always admired him in that state...

In my middle management job we would get a bonus of about $10, 000.every year. After the weekend was over, my coworkers would all giddily share how they spent their bonus over the weekend. Off to the city to go on spending spree and blow the money.
When they asked me what i spent my money on.my answer was always the same.
My answer was "i bought money".
What? Yes i invested it into my pension retirement plan. Every year. Insurance against a rainy day and that is exactly how it paid off for me. I got cancer at 55 which forced me to leave the workforce never to return.
Financially i had it totally under control..Many of my co workers are still working at 70 with no end in sight. They went for flash. I went for security.

nice video I took looking poor to the next level. I love it. Personality is the best. I dont have people bothering me I get catered to me around my area they already know I got money. I sniff out people and I know whos rich and we never talk about money. And yes you will get taking advantage of when flashy. I dont play flashy games I got alot of money. Debt free also.
