If I incorrectly use the terms vector/vector-space/state then please correct me because I think these are the words that I mix up most often. I removed the background music after feedback from the last video but I seem to have accidentally replaced it with a mic rustling sound - sorry and I'll know for next time 😅

Tibees - I have no opportunity for a university education right now due to monetary and time constraints, but your videos help me understand these high level concepts in a way I'd always hoped to!!

Thank you so much!

One of the my favourite parts of your explanations of mathematics is your ability to related it to practical application - eg. the guy whose bridge to the world was destroyed by a storm. This topic is not easily applied day to day, but in the context of QM, your explanations help me understand terminology to what it means in practice. I'm glad I came across your material.

2:36 - This is a common misconception from what I've heard. Correct me if I'm wrong but Schroedinger's Cat is only an analogy for a quantum particle but is not a quantum particle itself so does not exist in a superposition of alive and dead (i.e. the cat is either alive or dead whether or not we observe it but the quantum particle is in a superposition of up and down as long as we don't observe it).

Great video though. I had trouble following along with the notation but then again I am only a 2nd year. I'm sure this video be helpful to me later so on behalf of all Physics student, thank you!

It did make sense, your explanation was very coherent. Great video, thanks for making it.

u r obviously highly educated yet u r very soft spoken n down-to-earth. this is what strikes me immediately. I pray i would become like u. Currently i just completed my physics honours degree n is somewhat confused, n i found here some peace.

These videos are great. I'm glad that you go more in depth into these subjects rather than just explaining it from the typical layman interpretation.

I've watched this three times so far and I have faith in you. I still don't understand it all but you are making such a genuine effort to communicate that I believe I will get to the same level of understanding as you. Of course nobody really understands quantum mechanics but understanding the methods of calculation is a good start.

This channel is awesome! I am using it to learn a lot of physics and other things while I improve my English listening. Thank you Tibees!!

Thank you a lot Tibees
This video was very helpful (as all your videos are)
Every time I read about quantum mechanics and its mathematics I just feel my head braking down
But fortunately you came out with this video and kindled in me not just inspiration but also hope
So keep on with this kind of videos!
And also about the way you can improve this series maybe you can add a whiteboard even though it’s truly great as it is

And also maybe you can when we go a little bit further with this math it’ll be great to write some exercises with their solutions on something like Microsoft Word or anything like it and then share it with us in the description box or maybe in a video ( to have more audience and therefore more interaction you may set an appointment video so we all you and us interact simultaneously via comments it’s like a rendezvous )
Truly exercises are very helpful
The next topic may be the special relativity and then the general relativity
Thank you
Good luck for your PhD

Pronunciation doesn’t matter
You are doing important formulas that’s what matters
Be easy on yourself!

thank you for these videos. as someone who finds Griffiths difficult (which is apparently supposed to be the easiest rigorous QM text out there) and failed the course, these videos make my experience a little easier

I'm studying quantum mechanics in college right now and this will be of great help! Thank you.

Dear Tibees, I am watching all your videos in chronological order. They are fantastic. But I just took a side view of Jim Al-Khalili talking about quantum mechanics in biology. It is suggested that quantum mechanisms are in evolved in consciousness and/or photosynthesis and/or global navigation in birds. When I completed secondary school with high enough grades to matriculate (ie gain admission to university) I contemplated what would be the most interesting and productive field to study and I settled on the biochemistry of the brain. To the extent that I could understand what happens in the brain when a thought is created. Needless to say I was not able to pursue this line due to other personal limitations (ie introversion ) I did qualify as an engineer years later. I have always had a deep interest in science in general. Anyway I could not have imagined that 40 years later I would be contemplating that thoughts and quantum mechanics were related. I still think this is the most fascinating field of study. Just saying. Thank you for recording your journey towards becoming a scientist and sharing it. I predict you will have a great career. I hope it is satisfying and happy.

I really don't know if it's just that I know more since I first tried learning this stuff or if it's brilliant's style of teaching or if it's just studying with someone in general that is helping me. All I know is that I feel like I understand all this better now then before.
