Scales are what holds my progression back. I've taught myself basically everything up to this point going into soloing and stuff, I just can't imagine memorizing each place of every note and just know for sure it's in *that* scale and if it's say I guess a core note within the Ionian scale or an arpeggio note in the Ionian scale since all modes has an arpeggio scale too. And how come there's a Lydian and a Mixolydian and not just as well a Mixoionian, Mixophrygian, Mixolocrian etc?

And who the hell even came up with these names O_O
