Paparazzi 'car chase' of Prince Harry, Meghan was 'reckless and irresponsible,' NYC mayor says

Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle and her mother were pursued by paparazzi photographers in a “near catastrophic car chase,” a spokesperson for the couple told media on Wednesday.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on Wednesday the chase was, "a bit reckless and irresponsible," and would be looking into the incident and apparent time frame.

"I would find it hard to believe that there was a two-hour high-speed chase. That would be, I find it hard to believe, but we will find out the exact duration of it," Adams added.

Those involved in the chase were confronted by police officers multiple times, according to the spokesperson, but the spokesperson for the NYPD said that information could not be confirmed.

I'm Canadian, living in New York City and no way this happened. There is too much traffic congestion in the city for a 2 hour high speed chase. It's faster to walk than drive most of the time. People in NYC don't care about them so why would the paps chase them? This is just a ploy for them to prove to the Royal Family they need Security and want them to pay for it.
