In a compelling episode of 'NewsHour Agenda' anchored by Madhavdas GK, the spotlight turns to the contentious issue of banning firecrackers in Delhi ahead of the festive season. The AAP government's decision to impose restrictions on the sale and use of firecrackers, linking it to pollution concerns, has ignited a fiery debate. While the AAP argues it's a necessary step to combat air pollution, the BJP accuses the government of duplicity and failure in addressing the root causes, which they claim is paddy burning in Punjab, also under AAP government. As Diwali approaches, the city finds itself at the center of a smokescreen debate, with questions looming about the effectiveness of such bans and their impact on both pollution levels and the festive spirit, especially on Hindu festivals. Tune in to listen to esteemed panelists in the debate!

Mr. Hindus, Erode, Tamil Nadu:  As the boom of firecrackers filled the air across the country celebrating Deepavali with gusto, seven villages in Erode district of Tamil Nadu decided to mark the festival with just lights, and no sound, in a gesture considerate of the winged inhabitants of the bird sanctuary nearby

How about the firecrackers harming the street dogs and ppl say it's just for one day!!! Honestly my statement isn't against or for any party. Celebrate Diwali while being aware of surroundings. Don't harm anyone out of the enjoyment.
