A Noob's Adventure in Vanilla WoW! - (A WoW Machinima by Nixxiom)

For years, World of Warcraft: Vanilla players have talked about how great the game was back in the day. The Horde and Alliance were bitter enemies. Classes had unique identities, quests, and served various functions outside of the Tank, DPS, and Heals trifecta. The world was unexplored and mobs had a very high chance of killing you. People thought we would never get to experience that feeling again... that was until the release of World of Warcraft: Classic.

In this Machinima, the Noob and the Level 50 DK go to World of Warcraft: Vanilla to see what everyone on the Blizzard forums were always talking about. They get to experience the culture of professions. They get to experience the never ending grind. Lastly, they get to experien- LOOK OUT FOR THAT ROGUE!

The Level 58 DK's character progression and subtle story arc throughout these videos is a thing of beauty; starting off as a nuisance in The Troll of Warcraft, leveling into a better person in Back to Vanilla, falling from grace and returning to his cantankerous ways in How To: Demon Hunter, and finally showing more of a positive side in this episode and even being able to criticize one of the weaker aspects of the original game. Something I noticed about him is that he seems very knowledgeable about PVP but in Back to Vanilla, he's utterly clueless in a raid. You think maybe one reason why he's so bitter is because he never made enough friends to raid with back in the day, so he just stuck to PVP content? Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Love the little guy though!

My favourite part about this video is that the guy doing the noob leading isn't Nixxiom but in fact the Dwarf level 58 Death Knight, which is a class that wasn't even in Vanilla. XD
