From yesterday today, I had my first night in my new Amok Draumr 5.0, with Skjold tarp and Fjøl Winter light. I have around 30 nights in different Hammocks and i was very happy with my Hennesy Safari. But this one blew my mind, it was an amazing experience to sleep in (on my side and on my back) and to wake up in and enjoy my breakfast and coffee this morning. It was an easy setup and how to tighten up the tarp was a genius solution. When I closed my mosquito net I was very surprised because it was so easy to use. The little line to connect above my head was very smart to prevent the net to hit my face. I was fighting a hell of a fight when I first tried to get into the hammock but after changing my sweating wet t-shirt and watching a few YouTube videos everything was easy 😊👌 This is quality and smart people have made this product. Just learn to trust the hammock, it is strong, very strong. If you are going to buy good quality and a hammock you can move around in and sleep very well in, this is it. I am not sponsored but I'm from Norway and I test a lot of things in a rough environment.

I'm 5'3 and not exactly skinny...the demos showing how to get into the amok are demonstrated by people taller. Any kind suggestions? and what's the ideal distance between trees?

Is there any thoughts on developing a waterproof zip in tarp, to use instead of the mosquito net, but that will just zip in, in the same way?

Does anyone know the minimum required distance from one end of the ridge line to the other? I’m trying to design a stand for it and haven’t got it in the mail yet to measure it myself. I know I may have to wait for it to arrive but if anyone has the answer before it comes I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!
