Chester See - “You’re Not the One” (Piano Cover)

Hey everyone!

Here is a piano cover to “You’re Not the One” by Chester See.

It has been about a month or so since I posted another cover. It was probably due to the lack of motivation in my content and trying to find my niche. So, since I had time, I really wanted to make another piano cover and try to get back into it.

Process:

The last time I heard this song was probably way back into 2015-2016. Stumbling upon the song, it really embodied the experience of how it feels to be heartbroken. Based on the lyrics that Chester See has written, I really wanted to pay attention to mood and tone that he was singing.

For the first verse, I used simple chords to really introduce the song. As the lyrics continued to tell the story, I started to add more variation and tried to experiment with what sounded very natural. Originally, I wanted to play this on Single Awareness Day. But, I never had the chance too.
