Windows Phone 7 Map Application Showcase - HTC Trophy

Showcase of the map app in windows phone7.
I like how the OS responds and all works really fast. The OS itself is very well presentated, BUT:
I was not able to search for adresses, not to speak of getting directions when traveling by car, by foot, or by public transport. By clicking on the search icon, the phone navigated to the browser and got me a picture of a library and with a bust in the foreground. Of course this was the Bing search engine, which was not in the slightest optimized for my mobile device.

@valcoholic I'm quite certain they will update this a lot. thats probably part of the reason they dont allow the producers to modify the OS. so i think they'll keep polishing this and with a bit of tuning here and there this might get real funky ^^

@pacutube i changed region format, language and search language and tried different combinations. i bet you meant it solved the pizza issue for you? i had no luck getting either locale stuff to work or the search. not to mention DIRECTIONS... okay one more issue: the locate me button never finds me. its an est. 2 km off (1.6miles) every time.

even the guy from the Microsoft Help board didn't knew about this bug, realy crazy shit :D

i just hope, they'll add such obvious functions as an update later on, otherwise win phone 7 will fail despite its potential which would be a true shame :(

I tried this in Singapore, and Issue got resolved.

1.Tab on settings
2.Tab on region & language
3.Choose English (United Kingdom) from Region format, System locale and Browser & search language
4.Tab on “Tap here to accept changes and restart your phone”
