Yep, print with a brim for bed adhesion. Helps keep the job stuck to the print surface. Stops tall prints from falling over, and stop prints with pointy bits from lifting at the corners or even coming unstuck. I use Cura which defaults to an 8mm brim which I used to think was overkill, but which I know to be about right for many things. Having to trim the brim off a print is trivial compared to having to re-do a five hour print.

Hate when that happens! Bed adhesion is worst fail point on long prints that have a small surface area touching the bed. Dish soap and water seems to work best for me after a fail like that. Wash and dry and do not touch the surface with ungloved hands. CJ

Knowing how many printers are in the wild and the probability of an errant print like this, it just makes me wonder how much of this polymer will end up in the oceans. I do not think the amount is trivial. Sorry for being the wet blanket on this topic.
