I had a huge crush on Cat Stevens when I was a teenager in the 70's. I love his music. Thank you for the reaction.

He was a pretty successful star in his teens in Europe, Here Comes My Baby and The First Cut is the Deepest were hits covered by others, but then he came down with TB and had to be quarantined for almost a year. It was after his recovery that his musical style changed from the pop genre in his first album Master and Son to the more acoustic sound and the deeper, philosophical lyrics in his album Mona Bona Jakon, but it wasn't until the early 70s and the release in America of Wild World from his Tea for the Tillerman album that he gained world fame and the rest is history. He turned 74 this past July and he's still performing... ❤️ 🎶

Cat Stevens was phenomenal in the early 1970s. He played “Wild World” live at his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (around 2016 I am guessing).

Sounds like a Dad talking to his grown up daughter before she leaves home.

Elvis
If I Can Dream
‘68 Come Back Special
Mr. Walter Earl Brown wrote this song with Elvis in mind. The song is a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elvis loved Dr. King, and was devastated by the news of his assassination. Just 9 miles away from Elvis’s home in Memphis, Tn.
Dr. King’s "I Have a Dream"speech, was Mr. Brown’s inspiration. During rehearsal, Mr. Brown noticed one of the background singers with tears in her eyes. He walked up to her and asked her if she was OK. Her response was, that she had never seen Elvis sing a song with such passion. His deliverance of this song was on a completely different level, then what she was used to.

Hell Yeah I'm here for this. I still have the 45 record 🤔😆 that kind of tells you my age. What a beautiful song about a break-up. 🤘😎

This is a little freaky for me cuz I saw him exactly like this a year later in Miami, we were in the front row and had eye contact with him throughout the show - and he always smiled at us. He was SO comfortable on stage - I hadn’t known that was even possible. 😅
I was 18.
But imagine: in this video HE’s only 23!!
So accomplished. So talented. SO beloved.
Such a good soul.

"I always remember you like a child girl", that one got me. knowing this can't be about his girlfriend, it must be a father to a little girl growing up discovering the wild world. its the only way i can explain that sentence.

Guys you'll have to do the band Ambrosia. "Biggest part of me." Straight up smooth song. ( saxophone solo)! Keep up the great reactions.
