Respect to Johnny Cash. Never playing the song again out of respect for the loss of the woman.

Cash is still to this day an outstanding man. RIP to both of them.

I remember seeing a video about her case. They didn't mention anything about her meeting Johnny Cash. It's a tragedy they never identified her killer.

I never knew anything about this. My respect for Johnny Cash was suddenly solidified. I'm stunned and saddened by this story, and I'm glad he honored her memory in such a great way. It was such a tragic story that her killer was never caught.

He probably couldn’t. All the tragedy he saw in his life. For such a lovely lady to be lost in such a tragic way. It probably made him very emotional. He had deep emotions anyway. But the memory was probably so raw and hurt badly. You can’t sing if you’re trying not to cry.

He treated his first wife very badly …unlike what the movie depicted. Their kids did a documentary about their Mom that tells the true story.

I’m from Saskatoon and I’ve never heard that story before. I’ve heard the song alright but not the story about the girl dying.

Her murder still is still unsolved and its not the only one of nurses murdered in the city from the time and over the string of quite a few years if memory serves me.

Do they believe that her well-known "on-stage" performance with Cash had anything to do with her murder? Was she targeted because of her winning the contest and all the publicity that Alexandra experienced? 💔

The only reason this case was so infamous is because they convicted the wrong guy and he spent over 25 years in prison.
