Horrific TT crash at championship! Facial damage!!

that kind of barrier isnt used on high volume areas (sprints for points or finish) for this exact reason, also this is a tale of why you should always look where you're going... but im amazed by his tenacity to finish anyways despite what ever injury he might have sustained in the crash

It was strange how they laid out the barriers. You can see from the first few seconds they randomly jutted out into the road. If you stop the footage a couple of seconds in, you can see they could have blended the barriers better and maybe even painted a temporary white line on the road. The cost is minimal.

But he should have been looking where he was going. I would have liked the UCI to do more here but the fault is 100% on him.

Just go to mountain biking and people walk away from falling off cliffs and mtb is much more fun because you see people do backflips and actually cool stuff
