YOU Voted: What is the PERFECT Object Show?

In October of 2022, I ran several polls asking YOU about Object Shows - Your favorite genres, your ideal cast size, and a boatload of other questions that, when put together, would create the “perfect object show”

After analyzing every poll, one thing became very clear:

There is ONE perfect object show.

Starting with the bare bones - YOU all voted that a cast should range from 13 - 18 contestants, the show SHOULD go by an acronym, and your favorite genre was COMEDY!!! Right then and there, that slashed several object shows from the running, including BFDI, Object Overload, and Inanimate Insanity II - all shows that I believed were near perfect for object shows.

You also voted that characters and competition need to be intertwined with alliances and friendships, that the characters were the most important part of the show, episodes should be between 13 - 17 minutes on average, and that you preferred when creators put in a lot of thought and planning.

Finally, you voted that an object show should come out monthly. Very, very few object shows have ever come out monthly, so this removed almost every single show from the list.

Except one.

I love Antony's work and especially BOTO! I remember when it first debuted in 2013, I was so happy that the 2011-fan-art winner was getting to work on his own object show :D
i also think it's clever the way you narrowed the pool of object shows by asking those polls and having viewers vote. It's like applying math to something that seems subjective!

I just finished BOTO yesterday, and immediately fell in love with it. It's amazing how much lore and work was put into the characters and backstory. It's awesome.

BOTO was the first object show I ever watched. I didn’t even know it was a genre at that point, but it got me into BFDI and the OSC. I always felt like it stood out being one of the best, and I’m glad to see that statistics agree

BOTO is by FAR one of my favorite object shows, so this was amazing to see. The incredibly fun characters, the genuinely interesting lore that doesn't interfere with the show itself... I've loved it since the first time I saw it. No wonder it is, as it fits the criteria for perfection.

Nothing in life is perfect but you can’t go wrong with your own show Griffin. There are so many object shows out there with so many different styles. It’s amazing

I made a tweet about this object show. It's one of my all time favourites and as you said, hits all the right points.

Doesn't try too hard to be simplistic or really lore relying heavy. It's a good balanced show with smart writing that uses a good mix of comedy and a sense of mystery. A small voice cast really did the trick and it was usually a really fun and wholesome show, with few serious moments. The serious moments however do really stick.

Anyway, BOTO is really one of the best ones out there if I'm being perfectly honest. But it's only an opinion and I'm sticking with it

HELL YEAH BOTO FOR THE WIN! I think it might’ve also been the first Canadian Object Show since Ankos from Canada (if I recall). So yeah, that’s some interesting trivia!

ONE is a good show, but I think it’s more of a standalone thing than what an object show is. It doesn’t really capture the essence of an object show, but is still my third favorite

In my opinion, out of all the object shows out there, my favourite object show BY FAR is ONE. ONE has amazing lore, amazing characters, amazing backstory, and amazing secrets, although ONE is a serious object show, there is still some comedy like airy saying: "whippy creamy.". ONE is the best object show in my opinion and I will never forget this object show.

Not a huge fan of object show lore but the BOTO lore and rooks backstory I always really liked, by far my favorite lore and one of the best object shows overall and the final 5 finale was actually handled really well!

Also Webz if you see this comment, love everything you do, as a fantastic object show creator, great and caring person and the work you do, like voice acting, slipper's voice is incredible, and the character is one of my favorite's because of your voice and personality of slipper.

i recently watched BOTO because of its 10th anniversary hype, and lemme tell you, its great, i hope to see ep 14 soon!

My personal favorite object shows are threee, tnm, and ii probably, they are all so fun and enjoyable :3 (it took me like a week or two to binge watch all three seasons of excellent entities, I was able to watch all tnm episodes in two days, and ii took a few months because I paused because tbh the first season was a little janky and boring, but I’m glad I watched the rest because it’s a really good show)
