ASC's ICLC Attorney Jessica: We Give Everything We Have and More

“I’ve had clients tell me that the news isn’t allowed in their home anymore, because their kids were having nightmares that they were being taken away… We give everything that we have and more to make sure our clients are competently and well represented, and zealously represented and be aware of the risks that exist now that didn’t exist before,” says ASC Immigrant Community Law Center - ICLC attorney Jessica Greenberg, who is currently spending a week volunteering at the Southern Poverty Law Center SiFi Folkston, Georgia location, representing detainees at the ICE processing center there. Immigrants with legal counsel are more than 10 times as likely to succeed in their cases as detained immigrants without a lawyer. Yet, the great majority of immigrant detainees are not represented.
