How to Bend a Heater Shield.

Coach Nate shows his method on how to bend a shield using clamps, two pieces of birch plywood, and wood glue.
There are more direct methods if you have taken the time to build a frame to bend a shield on, but I have not made one at the posting of this video. I have bent shields using this method many times.

do you just cut out the shape afterwards? any tips for that? I am looking to make myself a shield so I don't break another finger

Hiya, could you not just use a thicker piece of plywood? Like a 9mm piece of plywood as opposed to 2 x4mm plywood sheets? Because im interested in making my own

hmm looks very over engineered, I just bend this plywood with a piece of lumber under the center of the bend, and I clamp the sides to the table while the glue sets. I don't get any of the ungluing in the center that you get and, seeing your finished shields, I get more curved results in the end.
however I use two 4mm plywood, wet and glued, which might be why it bends better.
