This is great! I don't need a 3 hour long class guide, going over what each spec does. More or less I know all of that. This is a good step by step way to decide a main/alt that doesn't get outdated fast. Plus if the class you end up with still doesn't feel right, you have your #2 spot right there. Very nice!

Great video and points very well made! I couldn't stop laughing at the deaths in the background on your boomie as you were talking about how squishy they were - completely proving your point.

In 10.2 i started with hunter, pushed to 21s… got bored, changed to Aug Evok, pushed to 25, got bored…. This season I said to myself I would try to DPS after 17 years of tanking… well 2 weeks ago I went back to my prof pally again 😅 I’m a tank through and through.

Fun and fluid. that is what works for me in any game. i dont care about anyones meta.

ADD: i also like to play all classes at least once, to see what i like and to help understand others playing those classes

Fun is key for me. Main is WW, main alt is Disc. Having an extremely difficult time deciding on what I would like to do next. Maybe just stick with these two...

came back to the game for 10.2, after having a long time of off and on again playing. chose to main a rogue purely because I had always wanted to play one, and it was the only class (other than evoker) I had never played at max level before.

I've definitely not regret that decision, having started as assassination and now practicing sublety which has just absolute bonkers dps numbers

I'm in this state constantly and laughed when I saw you make a spreadsheet just like me. I'm playing dh and just got to 2.4k but that's about when the bug bites me. Now my evoker, warrior, priest are all 2k and climbing. I just get bored and trying new things is what I enjoy, so I do it

Can you share the spread sheet with us? I'd love to use it for myself.

As a hard altoholic, from time to time I quit the game 1-2 months to ger air, and always come back. Now I am playing Druid, Warr, Priest and Shaman, .in no particular order.

From my experience, what I always end up playing is actually the SECOND most perfect class for me.
Whenever I pick the class that I would like the most by going through the process of comparing each classes and scoring therm, there's always a class that makes me to think 'But this class also sounds fun...' and make me to hesitate playing the class I picked that is supposed to be the perfect match for me.
And I always ended up playing the class that made me to doubt the result of my class picking process. That class might be not perfect technically, it has something that attracts my heart weather it's the fantasy, the gameplay, or the aesthetic, and that's why I cannot drop it even after I thought I found a right class for me.

I left in 10.1 for personal reasons after getting AOTC in Vault on my Unholy DK. Returning to the game, I decided I wanted to switch from Alliance to Horde, because I've always wanted to main an Orc character. I went with Fury Warrior. Coming from a class with 30+ keybinds, going down to half of that with a very easy rotation makes my smooth brain happy. And you can't beat the lore of an Orc Warrior!

I changed my main twice in dragonflight. I started as unholy DK and the damage profile in M+ drove me nuts. You had to choose between all single target or all aoe talents. Then I switched to MM hunter because it pumped in season 1 but in later tiers the lack of defensives was so frustrating. I landed happy on ret Paladin with a legendary axe 😅

I must have missed something because all I got out of this video was how you chose a main for you based off of a few classes that you were interested in, how you felt those classes played, what your guild needed and your personal goals. What does any of that have to do with the rest of us?

As limiting as it sounds, as a m+ dps pugger - I only choose between specs that are very tanky and have bloodlust or battle res. Ret pally was an obvious choice this season, loving it so far!

Hello! I'm a very indecisive person, I'd like to choose a main to play now and throughout the next expansion. I always find myself torn between monk, shaman, priest, warlock, and druid. I enjoy playing primarily solo and DPS, sometimes I also like to heal. 😆

I main outlaw now. And i must agree. Same build for everything. Same rotation over and over again. Recently, i tried unholy. Its much more chill gameplay and fun. Instead of so intense outlaw play 😀 hard choice now 😀

I think the only time you're going to have issues with a non meta class is doing higher than +20 keys
