I considered a Powersplit.
I bought an Eastonmade Axis after watching hundreds of videos.
Nothing else compares.

That is by far the best design for most people. The only issue I have with what I see is the table height is too low. It needs to be raised up to help prevent your hands and arms from naturally being at the top of the round when the cylinder is moving. Me being 6’4”, that’s even a bigger concern. As I watch you split, your arms and hands are constantly in the most dangerous area, which is at the top of the wood being split. If the table is raised up to where your natural tendency is to grab the wood in the middle it would be much safer to use. Just my opinion and observation. Maybe that’s something that could be adjusted for when ordering one, but probably not. Definitely looks like a well made unit and simple. Congrats

That’s what I needed 25 years ago. Would have been nice.

Really enjoyed your video. I am not in the firewood business, but I enjoy watching the different types of equipment used in your business. The one thing that I have noticed about the vertical splitter is there is very little waste in comparison to a splitter with a box wedge or a 12 way wedge. They produce so much waste that many commercial outfits have to have some type of cleaning device in between the splitter and the wood pile, basket, or dump trailer. It appears to me that is a very important advantage of the vertical splitter. Looking forward to your future videos.

I purchased a double with the conveyor 6 years ago we do 1500 to 2500 cords a year mostly small fireplace wood for the ski area condos this wood splitter has tripled our output without much of a increase in labor also the quality and consistency of the product is much improved It is the heart of our operation 12000 cords with only a few repairs

I see just a couple comments on price. Seriously guys?
This shows how we completely lost sight on what things should cost.
$9, 000 for this is simply outrageous.

I'm a little on the older side I buy green cord wood and re split it and season. I'm just starting out. Sold 600 plus bags this year. Just starting to do high end residents. I love splitting wood. Great machine. I'm looking at a super split kinetic splitter. I live in Massachusetts so its close for me

That looks really awesome. Love the foot pedal controls. Easy to keep all your concentration on the business end that way.

Hey good day Brock. Congrats! You are going to love the vertical split - having the log lift and the big work table is such a benefit to your back and the ability to manage the splits. I have the Eastonmade AXIS and for our current needs, the vertical splitter is great. Enjoy it! Looking forward to your reviews in the future as you get more experience using it. And hey, it's made in Canada I think, Eh? !! :)) Cheers!

I'd appreciate an adjustable table, cos I'm tall. The welds look a mess, but as you say it's simple to repair, if they broke. Thanks for doing the research work. My horizontal splitter might be replaced because of this! 👍
