To have Ernie Hudson of all people show up out of nowhere and say those exact same words when being asked to borrow phone is enough to make anybody bust out with laughter!

You can imagine the writers were sitting down and decided they had to think up the most AWESOME scene that could possibly happen to each character EVER for the WHOLE life of the show and this is what they came up with for Marshall.
