I don’t think John Lennon would have a problem with people brushing over his problematic behaviour. He literally abandoned his wife and child for Yoko. He was also verbally and physically abusive to his first wife and child. Even by his owned admission people still fawned over him, his fans ignoring his bad behaviour was pretty pertinent to his career.
