Feel bad for the first guy. Imagine how excited he must have been playing against GothamChess, a streamer he genuinely enjoys, just to blunder his queen on move 5.

38:51 notice even though he outranks this guy by 1600 pts, he was "waiting" for a mistake, as opposed to trying to blow the weaker player off the board. Very instructive, something I've been working on myself lately is respecting my opponents.

GothamChess, always enjoyed chess but at 29 I took a brain injury and it became a passion, dedicated myself to it. Play 4-5 games at ICC every day. Today I'm only 1480; but just started devoting serious time to it, studying it. I'm 46. Really enjoy your stuff man, thanks. And yes, brain damage- chess fanatic, the irony is killing me over here.

I was 700 and then I started learning openings such as Scotch for white and Caro Ken for black, now I’m 850 in just 1 day and I’m still getting better, I just watched your thirty minute tutorials on each move around 5-6 times each so I can memorize the common situations.

Thank you for playing longer time control games. The extra discussion and slower play really helps me follow along

"You got in to college? That's nice. Earlier, someone told us they got in to Stanford"

Levy has a Jewish mother, I see. "Why can't you be more like your cousin who went to Staanford?"

“Press F to pay respects” is a meme from one of the Call of Duty games.

This is your first video that I’ve seen. I usually don’t watch videos longer than 20-25 minutes, but this was amazing. I started watching it yesterday night, and my eyes got tired from watching too much screen. So, I went to sleep and came back today to finish it.
I really love the fact that you explain the moves while playing and after a game, you also explain other different possibilities. That’s why I wish that you make longer videos, because that would be very informative.

“I just put the pieces on the squares”

Gotham, that’s what chess is.

I died when Levy blundered his bishop. Makes me feel a little better about myself to see even someone at his skill makes blunders. To be fair I think he was only giving the game like 30% attention because of the chat but whateverrr
