DataBlast was already allowing D&B engineers to use grade control models to design their blasts selectively, applying specific parameters of geometry, charge and timing to materials with different properties such as hardness, lithology or even grades. In addition to optimizing blasting, increasing productivity and reducing costs, this greatly reduces ore dilution. Now, a brand new DataBlast function allows direct import of block models and makes this process even easier and faster. With the possibility of viewing geological information directly over the blasting polygons, engineers and geologists gain flexibility and assertiveness for even more accurate and efficient decision making.
