Dodge Ram Running Light & Signal Tow Mirrors Mod (FOURTH GEN)

This video details how to make your Dodge 4th Generation tow mirrors dual function as running light and signal. The LED lights will work as a marker light and then also a signal with the Boost Auto Parts kit.

The Boost Auto Parts Dodge dual function harness includes everything needed to install into OEM or aftermarket mirrors on 2008+ trucks including modules, wires, and connectors.

I know this videos old but I’m sure people still use it, you can wire the power source to the window switches in the door panels just use a test light to find a wire that turns on and off with the ignition it won’t dim or turn off with the interior lights and is much easier

Ordered. Received the kit, a BAP decal and a BAP koozie in a really nice BAP bag. Nice job gentlemen. OK...got the passenger side done this evening. Couple of pointers. Save yourself some frustration and use a piece of wire, brazing rod, etc to pull the wire through the boot. Also use it to pull the wire to the inside of the truck. These are small gauge connectors. Make sure your crimper will actually crimp these down or you will pull a wire. Ask me how I know this. So far, so good. Great instructions!!

i just put on my 2016 ram 1500 the tow mirrors but the turn signals and puddle light wont work.how could activated?thanks great video

8:13 Ram 1500 2010 Version 1. Literally that connector doesn't exist. Where would the closest running light power wire be? If I use the passenger blinker won't they both strobe when I use the blinker?

Edit: took 3 hours. Never found that clip so I just connected the mirror inputs like they did at 8:00. What I did was runna wire from my driverside blinker (white and green wire) through my firewall and connected it to the orange wire.

All in all kinda wish I went with version 2. Version one doesn't exactly blink brightly. It's very bright but the blink isn't that noticable.

Seems like a lot of work running the power wire through the door, when there has to be a wire in the door that lights up the window switch, it seems like you could just tap that wire and the install would a lot easier. I am going to try and track that wire down.
