Less than 1 day to go until the Heysen 115km Ultra Marathon 2024.
Today I pack the car and head to Victor Harbor to check in and prepare for an early start tomorrow morning.
It' feeling a bit different this time around, heading up on my own without the family. Hoping they can make it on the day, towards the end.
I've put in the training, or at least done my best to put in a solid year of running. My training is easily on par with last years, possibly slightly stronger. This means nothing at the moment though as the nerves set in. Anything can happen on the day! But how often do you get to go on an adventure like this! That is what I will be reminding myself over the next few hours.
