People always tell artists “you’re so lucky to have talent” but we rarely hear “you’re so lucky to have big muscles” because we know for the most part, it’s not luck.

That is so damn true!!!
Saying something like that really just downplays all the hard work and practice and HEARD EARNED SKILL of an artist, and it also is just am excuse for not being good at drawing/painting, etc.

I hated that so much during school time... Everyone was acting like ive been blessed and have been given a talent, while they said they can never be good at it because they "dont have taht talent". Who says this about Maths? Nobody! if youre not good, youre just too lazy to practice, or youre just dumb. Nobody would ever even think about learning how to draw at home to better at arts at school, because they believe so much in that "talent" thing, that they dont even try to improve. 😊

Nah people definitely say ish like oh your so lucky you got a good body or dont gain weight faat. Understandable that an artist doesnt understand that or notice it in social commentary

To be fair there are also bot naturally talented artists and naturally fit people and whats more many people achieve profficieny in both at different rates despite equal effort.
