Jamón Ibérico: A highly prized type of cured ham from Spain, made from Black Iberian pigs. It is one of the most expensive and sought-after hams in the world, known for its rich flavor and long curing process (often over several years).

Import Restrictions in the U.S.: Historically, importing Jamón Ibérico to the United States has faced strict regulations and bans. For a long time, it was almost impossible to legally bring this ham into the country due to concerns over diseases like African swine fever. Even when allowed, the ham must meet stringent standards, and it can be costly and challenging to import. This has led to a black market for smuggling Spanish hams into the U.S., particularly the most prestigious varieties like Jamón Ibérico de Bellota.

The Ham radio ties directly to Vince Fish / Richard King / Pink Eye Joe, not Xmas guy. But the apartment has a pig (Inez / Ana / jealous husband), a piece of tinsel (Christmas guy / Rudy (Rudolph) Thurber), and the aforementioned amateur ham radio operator: Stink Eye Joe. All 3 groups of suspects have a link to the apartment. NYC has what are called Rent Controlled apartments. With long enough tenure, your rent stays frozen at 1960s prices but the landlords do zero improvements. That's how you find an apartment with appliances from the 60's. The group all clearly use the apartment as "extra space" whenever they need it. They may even pay the rent to keep it current. They are friends and play the OH HELL game, which is why the lock code is 773440, OH HELL on a calculator upside down.

But I don't think any of them are the killer. Vince Fish is a "red herring". Rudolph Thurber is stuck in the past but I doubt Charles has anything to do with it. The illegal meat smugglers are doubtful as well except maybe the daughter. Her widow's peak creeps me out. 🙂

You forgot the most important clue. When Oliver goes over to the board and trips. He knocks down a piece of paper with the code of Dudenoff apartment but when turned upside down it is letters and it spells out the card game, OH HELL

The words tap in is very clear. How could a nearly dead person write those words so clearly after being X shot in the heart. Doesn’t make sense
