A Backstage Pass to My Recording Studio

The stage of musical performance has changed to a completely digital world due to COVID-19. Musicians and creatives have been forced to work in remote settings with the technology at their hands. Songwriting and the recording process has historically been a group effort but within the last year it has shifted into an intimate solo-based project. The presenter would like to showcase their experience of shifting into the digital world of musical composition and working with music technology to present their best work. Through their presentation they will highlight the challenges and positive aspects of working with digital audio workstations and music technology. They will give a brief explanation of their personal creative process, recording process, and explain how the limitations of remote work has affected their experience. At the end of the presentation, the audience will hear their original work.
