- 16 teaspoons passata
- 20g grated mozzarella
- several slices of pepperoni
How to:
1. Roll out the pastry, then use the pastry cutter to slice a 2 cm strip off the end. Now cut the strip horizontally into 4 equal size pieces - save these for later!
2. Next, cut the remaining large piece of pastry vertically into 4 long strips.
3. Place two teaspoons of passata and a sprinkle of cheese on one side of the pastry .
4. Fold the second half of pastry over the side with the passata and use a fork to crimp the edges.
5. Squeeze the centre and fold the saved strip of pastry around the middle of each.
6. Brush all over with passata and then carefully place thin slices of pepperoni to make polka dots.
7. Bake at 180°C /Gas 5 for 15-20 minutes until crisp and golden.
This recipe can also be made as a sweet treat!
