His Portrayal Of Jaffa Leader, Turned Into Ori Prior Garak's Fiery Death Was Absolutely Stellar, And Shocking, When He Defied The Evil Ori, And Healed Every Human Inside The Stargate SG1 Complex, Especially Major General Hank Landry, Portrayed By Iconic Actor Beau Bridges, And The Deathly Ill Humans From The Ori's Deadly Plague Around The Earth, Unleashing The Ori's Wrath On Him, Causing Him To Combust Into The Brief, But Spectacular Fireball Inside The Conference Room . . .

As another 80's kid, Louis Gossett Jr was an icon. I loved so many of the things that he was on. Iron Eagle (didn't see any of the sequels) and Enemy Mine. I hadn't heard if his children were fans, but if so, it might be interesting to hear their interviews about what their dad was like and anything that he may have relayed to them about the roles he took.

Man, i hate seeing actors pass who are part of shows that you periodically binge every year or so. You get to know their persona far deeper than a random movie. Also, you kind of feel the weight of an era coming to end when they pass because those type of shows don't really exist anymore.

Anyway, loved his portrayal as Gerak, one of those castings where the actor made the character so much more authentic and fun to watch. I think he would have been brilliant as a General too.

Such great memories from all 3 series of Stargate. Whatever Amazon/MGM does, I sure hope they don’t ruin it like just about every other franchise has been ruined by wokeness and people who simply don’t love or respect the source material. I can watch the original shows for the rest of my life and still be entertained.
