My dad has all the massive books, they are not the newest but it has all the letters and it's kinda cool and sometimes we will look up a work which is interesting and you learn a little something. No magnifying glass is needed in this version tho unless our eyesight gets worse.

I love your energy and enthusiasm about this, we should all learn and find stuff out if we want to even if it seems embarrassingly late or obvious to most, you are not alone in not knowing it, as the saying goes better late than never, we all come from different experiences, so things come at different times.

"The Professor snd the Madman" is an interesting book about the OED.

He first edition of the Canadian OED has lots of words you don't usually see in a dictionary. Later editions do not include the expletives.
