Worst part is, despite Hiruzen being the Hokage, _Danzo_ had more control over what happened in the village. Man set up a council of four, where two of those members just sided with the _worst possible person_ just about every single time. The actual leader of the village getting bullied around by a man supposedly lower on the pecking order. _What a guy..._

I've never thought that the Hokage was a good position to have. Every time we've seen one they've been in their office doing paperwork constantly. I think naruto had some other thing in mind when he thought about being one and it came from his father. Cause he heard about what Minato did and then was like I'm gonna surpass him and be the greatest Hokage. Little did he know that besides the rare occasions when you have to fight, you're basically an office worker and that's it

I won’t lie, I absolutely agree with you with the part of him gaining the respect and love at the end of the episode where they’re all cheering his name tossing him up in the air. The anime could’ve ended right there and I wouldn’t have cared. After everything Naruto had done and been through he deserved that. Yeah there were a lot of other things that needed to be settled afterwards but still.

I gotta defend my dude Tobirama cause although he wasn’t the most powerful Hokage he was definitely the most effective and efficient and arguably the most genius. He created the Chunin Exams so that kids didn’t have to go out into actual wars and get killed like many of his clan did, he created numerous incredibly potent ninjutsu (shadow clones, resurrection, teleportation), and he installed the Uchiha as the police force of the village. For a village that is full of people capable of spitting military grade bombs from their mouth, having a clan of people able to disarm them with a glance is incredibly efficient. Also the reason why the Senju clan isn’t really a thing anymore is cause Tobirama didn’t want his people to become so isolated like the Uchiha only marrying amongst themselves and wanted them to be apart of the village so encouraged marrying others in the village.

Being a Kage itself wouldn’t be bad, especially since it at least implies that you’re the strongest, or at least most capable person fit to lead your village. But Hokage? Nah, you got me messed up. To my knowledge the only reason people stop being Hokage is retirement or death, and they ran through 7 of them mfs before Naruto. I’m good 💀

You know what would have been a good twist, is that by the end of the series Naruto refuses to be Hokage because he realizes that he is not the right person for the job, and suggested someone else for the job.
