Dimash is 6 ft 3 the golden eagle symbol of Kazakhstan, of course they knew who he was instantly!

The main problem is that Dimash has music in so many genres that he was not aloud to sing on that show but lucky for us he chose to still sing a song.

Dimash was not disqualified. Dimash was just a guest for that one episode because he was in the middle of a very busy schedule and it was planned that he was going to be "unmasked" at the end, whether or not they guessed who he was. But, of course, they knew who he was right away. Dimash said that he was thinking of trying to disguise his voice, but as soon as he stepped out, the audience was calling out his name so he gave up the idea and just sang it in his regular voice.

The Danes have an old saying: "When a feather becomes 5 chickens" which is the case here 😂 According to Wikipedia, Dimash was invited as a guest performance at Masked Singer China 2019, which was just one of many other guest performances that year. Thank you very much for a wonderful reaction👍😊

He was invited on the show as a special guest artist. The backstory is that he agreed if they made him an eagle costume. The eagle is something of a national icon of KZ. i think he gave himself away the moment he opened his mouth, i mean who else does the ascolte la voce fry like our Kazakh Eagle! 💙🙏🙏🙏💚

Seriously. Dimash is Dimash. No one has his unique voice. He is 6’3” tall and in China, not many guys are that tall, so you see him all tall up there on stage, and the second he opened his mouth to sing, you know it’s him. Unmistakable. Got to love him. ❤️

Even if he changed his voice, there is no way he could have hidden his body posture and hight. (191 cm / 6, 3 ft) 😅
You immediately hear his name called in the audience as soon as he steps on the stage without having even sung a word.
And even after that, I guess the Chinese would have recognized his accent as well, if he would have tried to mask his voice.

The entire episode is on the CCTV YouTube channel and it was hilarious. Everyone knew who Dimash was the minute he stepped on stage. The audience went crazy. 🤣 But the panel of judges were supposed to keep "guessing" who might this singer be, so they kept up the pretense of not knowing Dimash until the end of the episode where they "unmask" him. (LOL) And all the "clues"! The eagle costume, his stature and of course the Dears know his every move, walk, stance, etc. They even had a livestream interview with his friend and fellow Singer contestant, Jam Hsio, who gave out "clues" like they were both on the Singer, etc. It was hilarious how the judges would keep pretending they just couldn't "get" who this singer was. And of course Dimash sang Jam Hsio's mega hit song absolutely stunning the audience. (CCTV keeps trying to stamp out all the recordings that show up on YouTube since the song belongs to Hsio and Lion (his band) but to no avail as the Dears adore this song the way Dimash sings it on the Masked Singer.) The original Lion single is great BUT Dimash is Dimash. 😄
