FSR4 beating DLSS3 CNN model is the biggest surprise for me, at their first attempt on ML based upscaling nonetheless.

I swear, every time Nvidia releases a new generation, I become more confused as to why people fight tooth-and-nail to get robbed by this company

AMD "There's plenty of stock of 9070 XT's".
UK retailers sell out in 5 seconds.

This is proof that Nvidia are diverting virtually ALL their wafers to AI. The 5000 series was just a press release launch, nothing more.

Ironic, since the GTX 970 had a memory fiasco too. Those were the days… 😂

12GB of VRAM on a card that costs over $400 is just not good (5070 could have definitely been better). I think a lot of us expected price creep for AMD cards with tariffs and everything, which is why some of us wanted a $549 MSRP. However, $599 for 9070 XT is a good deal. Thumbs up.

Time to buy AMD. The PhysX situation really made it clear that Proprietary Nvidia features are going to start getting sunsetted. I can't support that

The picture of the UK retailer with 1000+ sapphire 9070s is a good sign considering how many cards microcenter seemed to get from nvidia.

Nvidia paying for puff pieces is honestly VERY concerning...

Gonna return my 5070 Ti to BestBuy and get a 9070 XT... Jensen and his leather jacket can blow me!

FSR4 surpassing DLSS3 was wild. Man if the 9060XT comes with 16GB and performs like a 4070 for $350, AMD could have a solid follow up to the 9070 series.

Here in Australia, we have multiple retailers providing figures of what they have to sell. Most have around 400 cards each of the 9070XT, and they are saying that will 'near double' if deliveries expected today make it to their locations. Most of them had single figures of the nGreedia cards, although there were still some models of the 5070 & 5070Ti in stock with some retailers this morning. The Ti's are all the most expensive versions which have been restocked.

The stock and MSRP will tell if this release will enter history as the best or worst launch opportunity by AMD… I’ll pay a max of 10% over MSRP to get one tomorrow, nothing more…

The online launch was a joke. Tried to help a buddy get an XT at MSRP and it was basically impossible. Seems like microcenter was the only realistic option for regular people to get a card at MSRP. Sucks for those of us who don't have one nearby.

in line at a micrometer right now at 12am. 5 people in line 😂

Welcome to the launch! All MSRP cards vanished immediately. A bunch of Newegg conformed orders have been cancelled (Like mine)

I feel more and more that AMD caught wind of nvidia supply issue delayed the announcement and launch to ensure their supply was top notch. This is huge for them and genius move if true.

"...only 20-30% will be MSRP..."

Am I missing something here, isn't that normal? I can't remember a time when base MSRP cards made up even 50% of what was on store shelves.

Wow AMD missed an opportunity to... miss an opportunity!? Well done, I wish the 9070 was $50 cheaper but a wins a win
