Great video covering WGU's Cloud Computing degree. I was able to transfer in 78 credits (43 credits remaining). I have to complete (ISC)2 CCSP, ITIL v4, AWS SysOps, Azure Administrator, DBM, Programming and Scripting courses. Once I start, hopefully in March. I should be able to complete the degree in six months.

Hi Shane, wanted to share how helpful this video has been. I’m 24, haven’t been in school for a bit. I actually pursued IT back in 2020 but some life things happened. Now I’m back in it, and I was really intimidated by the amount of courses to do. Thankfully, I practically have all but 1 the Gen Ed courses to do. This has been such a WEALTH of information, from the study guides, to the resources, everything.

Just want to say you’ve made this process so much easier and less intimidating for another person. I feel now like I have the confidence and a little bit of guidance to get this done!!

Maybe you didn’t intend to do this but as some currently “pre studying” right now I don’t have any certifications a recently got my first and want to say you can finish bs in cloud computing in 6 months but if you like make want to get all of the certifications before you enroll this process could take MUCH LONGER personally I plan on getting all of the cerficstions by summer even before I enroll but the it’s like unspoken rule that 3rd party certs take longer so be careful!!

If you get all the certifications first you can actually leverage the certs to get a job...after you get the job you can circle back around and get the degree in a term

So I assume you get the AWS or Azure certifications before you enroll? Would that be the better cheaper way to get through the degree? Great video! Imagine getting financial aid then accelerate though it would be a tough 1-1.5 years but the cost is minimal! In terms of reputation would WGU and Thomas Edison be in the same tier?
