Every 2024 LEGO Advent Calendar Door Opening - Day 14

Welcome to my 2024 LEGO advent calendar daily door opening spectacular where I will be opening every door on every LEGO advent calendar and judging each daily gift before revealing LEGO advent calendar of the year 2024 on Christmas Eve.

For 2024, LEGO increased the number of advent calendars to six different themes including LEGO Friends, Disney Princess, LEGO City, LEGO Star Wars, Spider-Man and LEGO Harry Potter. Every day I will reveal all of the 2024 LEGO advent gifts and rate them from best to worst. In this fun daily advent series, I will share all the magic of advent with plenty of jokes and my unique sense of humor.

75395 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2024 celebrates 25 years of Star Wars with gifts from the long history of LEGO Star Wars. Gifts include 5 collectible LEGO Star Wars minifigures and 1 LEGO figure – Holiday Princess Leia, Holiday Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, 501st Clone Trooper, a Praetorian Guard, plus a Super Battle Droid.

42637 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2024 is a 272-piece LEGO set and takes a trip back in time to when Paisley and Olly were preschoolers. Gifts include little Paisley, little Olly, Jonathan, Rose, and baby sister Ella plus 2 pets and a snow cat figure.

76293 Spider-Man 2024 Advent Calendar is a new theme for 2024 and includes a bunch of really nice minifigures including Spider-Man, Green Goblin, Miles Morales, Ghost-Spider, and Venom.

Finally, the 76438 LEGO Harry Potter 2024 Advent Calendar takes the magical theme from strength-to-strength with a bunch of gifts to delight wizards and muggles alike. The calendar includes Set includes 8 LEGO Harry Potter figures including Harry Potter, Susan Bones, Cho Chang, Draco Malfoy, Professor Albus Dumbledore, Professor Filius Flitwick and a Choir Ghost minifigure, plus Harry's owl Hedwig.

Swamp offering for Santa. I have to admit, I have been impressed with newcomer Disney. The little build today is cute. How many walkie talkies can City give us? Please tell me this is the last one! It's fun trying to guess the ship of the day from Star Wars. You've been doing a grand job enlightening us Jeremy. Spider-Man's rhino is pretty cool. Better than some of the house statues from Potter. OK, I admit our house statue is better than the previous but even as a diehard Ravenclaw, I like the rhino better. Please forgive me. Did you try it with the wings pointing the other way? Goodness help us it's karaoke from Friends. Yes, we will survive. Good luck judging I thought at this point. After yesterday we all knew the today would be a disappointing downside. Well done surviving this Jeremy. Agreed on your choices!

I think the eagle statue is the best looking of the four Harry Potter gave us. As a result, I'd give Harry Potter fourth place instead of fifth. That Star Wars ship is absolutely atrocious.

As a fellow Ravenclaw, I’m disappointed with the score. Out of all the statue is the better looking one. Compared to the other calendars, it wasn’t the best but it sure was better than the Star Wars. That one looks more like a Transformer. 😊 For me, even the helicopter was better than Star Wars

Hi Jeremy. I love these videos and watch your countdown every year. Has anyone told you yet about the ‘remote control’ toys matching the jumper from the day before? So helicopter jersey = helicopter toy, fireman jersey = fire engine toy etc?

Definitely worst day so far for me. I have Star Wars and city and both disappointed me but Star Wars was quite fun to build so I’d give that the top spot. Out of yours- Disney wins for the princess and the frog fireplace (im biased) followed by Spider-Man, Star Wars, potter, friends and then city.

Man, there were some bombs today. I am kind of getting ship fatigue with Star Wars. How about a location build like a mini Cloud City, Jabba's Palace, or Jedi Temple? Yes, I get there will be ships, but I think we can do other things without having to bring back the dreaded blaster racks. Agree that Spiderman wins. I have no idea what that thing is, but it is the most interesting of the bunch. And then there is City. We have had helicopters before in City AC's, and all of them are superior to what I am looking at right now. Shrinkflation really sucks.

Having to get in early today, wish I didn't now! What a woeful selection! As the saying goes, it's a good to to bury bad news for some of the calendars.
6 points - Marvel. Actually quite a nice little build. I'm sure die hard fans will like it, even if the rest of us were a little bit confused for a while!
5 points - Friends. Some play value in this that might go down well with the target audience.
4 points - Harry Potter. Easily the best of the statues.
3 points - Star Wars. A ship that looks just bizarre but at least isn't quite as generic as most we've had.
2 points - Disney. Boring, doesn't look like a fireplace, but it is at least colourful.
1 point - City. I actually quite like the idea of micro RC versions of current sets. And the whole idea of Lego is to use your imagination, so that walkie talkie can most definitely be a controller! But that helicopter. Sheesh!
Festive Bonus Point - Disney. So tempted not to award any points for this today, but the Disney fireplace JUST about classifies as festive. JUST!

I think todays statue is the best of the bunch, at least you can tell what it is! They actually all look really nice together on the plinth at the back of the great hall. That bird joke with Sinead O'Connor and your singing totally cracked me up 🤣
