One of the best defensive mechanisms is the fatty skin around the next and back. If one of those wolves grabbed the loose skin around the neck, the wolverine has the ability to rotate more than 180° to bite back. So the wolf would have a mouth full of fur, while possibly getting his nose or eye bitten off. That's insane.

What's brilliant about this encounter is how the wolverine never lets the wolves get and keep the initiative. He doesn't stay on defense but counter-attacks to keep them off balance and not coordinating together. Meanwhile, he keeps moving also, this just textbook.

At the very end you could see his homie was chillin in the cut the whole time, ready to regulate!

It’s interesting how the wolves try to attack from opposite sides but the wolverine counters by charging one or the other of the wolves. The wolverine is brave, ferocious and obviously very intelligent.

The wolverine did a pretty good job of keeping both wolves on the same side of him. It takes a humans a lot of training to get that simple lesson to become second nature.

I like how in the beginning the wolves are all confident that they found themselves an easy meal, then 40 seconds into it, they are unsure as to who actually is the meal.
