I started coffee at 16. Drank it till 23, and everyone started saying I looked 30+, then started back up for another two years addicted and I finally said ENOUGH. I had wrinkles on my forehead, crows feet, black circles around my eyes, and wrinkles around my mouth. Caffiene free for 9 months, and my skin has gone back to normal and tight again along with no dark circles. Hair has definitely improved!

Thank you for this video. Coffee also seems to be the worst thing for my skin. I even tolerate sugar and soda better. I used to think maybe I just had a problem with the sweetened coffees, but I can't even drink black coffee. Like you, I can drink it in moderation-once or twice a week. When I become a daily coffee drinker, no matter how healthy I eat otherwise, I get acne. My skin doesn't love junk food, but coffee seems to cause cystic acne more than anything. I didn't want to believe this, because so many people drink coffee all day, every day without any problems. It's also not something that's all-out bad for you the way soda is. Even so, it wreaks havoc on my skin unless I limit it to no more than a morning or two a week. I adore the smell and taste of coffee, but I've recently cut back because it destroys my skin.

okay first of all, you are so unbelievably pretty!!! second, I work at starbucks and i tend to migrate there even when i’m not working because i’m HOOKED on coffee. My skin is at a point right now where I feel absolutely worthless and my acne is all I see when I look at myself, so I assume that’s what everyone else sees. I’m going to stop drinking coffee TODAY. I’m excited for confidence and health. Thank you so much for posting this

No more coffee :( Can’t even do decaf. It’ll have to be as a treat. It wasn’t always this way but at 25 it’s really affecting my skin now.

this is 100% true because I drink coffee for a month every single day before my workouts so now I am suffering from acne and scars

It never even crossed my mind that coffee could be what’s potentially causing my cystic acne! Especially on my chin & cheek area 😭💀 I’m almost 30 & my skin has never been this bad before… I’m going to try to give up coffee for a week & see if I notice any difference in my skin. 🙌🏼 Thank you for this video girl! ❤️

I caught the flu and obviously stopped drinking coffee (the fever paired terribly with the caffeine headache withdrawal) but after a week of being sick/zero caffeine my face cleared COMPLETELY. I figured since I already went through the withdrawal phase might as well give it up and sure enough, hasn’t returned. I’ll miss it.. I was very addicted. Iced venti americano (4 shots) w a lil sugar free syrup for over 8 years 🥲 loving my clear skin though!

Ever since I started drinking cuppachino sachets, I developed laugh lines, hormone acne and strong PMS symptoms. I'm quitting today! I will only drink rooibos from now on, I'll even quit tea.

Thank you so much for this video. I started working at a coffee shop a few months ago and started having cystic acne form around my beard line. I couldn’t figure out what was causing it as I had never had issues with acne up until that point. After months of changing my skin care routine and cutting out foods I think I finally cracked the code. I’m going coffee free for four weeks to test the theory but it’s the only thing that has changed in my diet in the past months. Thank you again!

I can second this! My stubborn acne of 10 years is gone. Also I don't get punching, zapping, stabbing, throbbing, dull breast pain anymore. I even had an ultrasound because it was so bad. Caffeine is also linked to breast pain ladies.

I think I'm going crazy because when I google the connection between coffee and acne on the internet it says that there's no connection

But there clearly is a connection!!! When I stopped drinking coffee my acne stopped

I have been drinking cofee every once in a while and after drinking cofee. I drink lots of water probably like 2' 1/2 liters a day and I do not think it is a problem. However, what really breaks out my skin is too much processed foods with lots of sodium and also milk.
If the people watching tried leaving cofee and did not see significant results, then try eliminating Dairy and processed foods. I hope this helps because I understand the struggle with acne. :)

Omg. I'm a heavy coffee drinker consuming at least 600ml a day. I have an above average hygiene for a male but I never seem to lose acne specially on tje jaw area. I gotta watch more scientific proof, but I already think you're right.

I don't get why theres so much gaslighting around caffeine and acne. It's pretty much the sole reason for my persistent acne through my 20's (I'm a male btw). I Never had any spots or anything as a teenager. Past 20 I start slamming coffee - I was working in cafe's which made it convenient and at times necessary.

It didn't happen straight away so I didn't link the two. I was really addicted to it like my mother. My biggest mistake was not abstaining long enough, because initially it would take up to a month of abstinence for my skin to stop breaking out. Now it's a lot faster. I'm 28 and it's cleared up a lot, but I still can't even have decaf (Maybe one with 10 days space) because the trace amounts trigger small breakouts.

For so long i'd get told by doctors that it doesn't make a difference etc. Luckily my scarring isn;t too bad, but I could have avoided it had I just gone longer without it earlier on.

I was getting terrible cystic acne on my chin area even though I am not acne prone skin and have good diet and a good skin care routine. It was so frustrating no matter how much I wash my face and use this expensive cleansers acne wont go away. I finally quit coffee due to insomnia and little did I know the Wow affects it was going to have on my skin!...I have not had a single acne on my skin for like 3 months since I quit. for 3 years straight this coffee was causing my cystic acne...I'd had quit sooner if I'd known. But oh well, , Now I am just working on lightening up my acne scars :)

You're right, we had some really really hot summer days here, i didn't have any coffee since it was way too hot and during this time i made an observation, i wasn't breaking out even when i was sweating, i was in disbelief, how is this possible? Why am i not breaking out, then once it cooled i went back to my coffee i got breakouts again, mostly on my chin, i stopped for a week and they're all gone now...Coffee can also be hard on the digestive system, which again leads to more skin issues, I've quit it for good. Some people get away with, some don't for the same reason i could drink a gallon of milk everyday without getting acne but some just a small glass and boom, we're all different and we need to consume what we tolerate.
