I loved Kansas even before my friend told me that Kerry Livgren had become a Christian. Needless to say, I loved AD as well. When I heard AD live, I clapped so hard my hands just about gave out.

My Personal Favorite song from the "Timeline" album by the one and only, Kerry Livgren. "Welcome To The War" is an Excellent Christian Hard- Rock Song. This song definitively reminds me of Styx with the Christian Influence Lyrics enhancing the song very well as a very powerful and awesome song with Emotion. Thank you, Kerry Livgren for providing the best Christian Music possible. Carry On, Kerry Livgren!!!

I've always found Kerry Livgren's lyrics very introspective. His music is progressive and deeply rooted in the rock era. His A.D. album Seeds of Change was not a typical Christian sound. He used artist just such as Ronnie James Dio, Mylon LeFevre and David Pack and others I can't recall. Livgren was very intriguing.

In case your wondering, yes the lead Vocalist is the one and only Steve Walsh from Kansas. I think it's from Seeds of Change. The album features several members of Kansas, along with Ambrosia singer David Pack and Black Sabbath's Ronnie James Dio.

You can hate anything Mr Deppness, that displays your free will to choose. Free will is over after that last heart beat though. Kerry Livgren and his music prove that God loves Prog heads too - He made 'em! Those Prog heads who love Jesus (God) will prog on forever worshiping in the bliss of His eternity in His presence. Eternity in the lake of fire isn't where you want to choose dude. Iona (an Irish band) has some prog tunes - check out Bird of Heaven - see if you can hate it, maybe you will - great music though! Robert Fripp (ex-King Crimson) plays on that tune and he's a Christian. Kerry's right though - war is on...oh and you're right - I'm repulsed by most of that pop-sounding music they call Christian music too. Most of those bands probably aren't real Christians though, they're just in it to make money. God sees through them though even though they're frontin' in this world. He's hoping they'll see the truth too before it's too late. Everyone can choose what they want. Oh, and "Brendan's Return" is another good tune of Iona's.

I think you have to be, I'm not trying to hurt any feelings, clinically disturbed to ACTUALLY feel these lyrics are healthy.  War, war, war, war, war.  Holy crap!

And what's this about?  "And when you're truly broken, it all becomes so clear

So twisted and distorted, it's reaching out and crying to be free"

Clue me in because on one hand we hear that everything is going according to some grand scheme known as "God's plan" and next we hear everything's gone down the toilet and there's nothing to do but FIGHT!!!  

This is crazy warmongering and nothing less.
