This is one of my favorite OST's in this series.

The title above is a PERFECT description of this arc: This war REALLY WAS impossible to win. TWO versions of the same enemy: Zamasu. One Zamasu having the force of immortality and the other Zamasu having the body of the most powerful Saiyan Son Goku. Goku, Vegeta and Trunks tried and tried to kill the evil Zamasu duo but failed time and time again. Zamasu being immune to their attacks due to the fact that Zamasu is immortal and Everytime Goku Black got beaten down, his power would just keep growing. FINALLY, The two Zamasus fused together to create the DARKEST, ULTIMATE, IMMORTAL, APOCALYPTIC, SUPREME, and MOST UNSTOPPLE God: FUSION ZAMASU. Goku and Vegeta fused themselves to create the mighty "Vegito Blue", but NOT EVEN THAT was enough to defeat The Darkest Fusion in history. Future Trunks created a "Spirit Bomb Sword" with the help of Goku, Vegeta, and the rest of the remaining future survivors on Earth and KILLS ZAMASU! But though the BODY of Fusion Zamasu was destroyed....the SPIRIT of Fusion Zamasu STILL LIVED and horrifically CONSUMED not only The also THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE and KILLED THE FEW SURVIVORS and it's true Im THE TWO LITTLE KIDS THAT DIDN'T EVEN REACH THEIR TENTH BIRTHDAY!! Both Future Trunks and Mai were HEARTBROKEN, ANGERED, TERRIFIED, SUFFERING, FREAKING OUT, SHAKEN, PETRIFIED, and TORTURED inside their hearts. Goku was forced to call ZENO, The TRUE OMNISCIENT GOD OF THE UNIVERSE to destroy the HOPELESSLY CORRUPTED universe to get rid of ZAMASU, THE DEVIL once and for all.
At the end of the day, The Z Fighters weren't meant to save Future Trunks' world, they were just prolonging the inevitable. The strength of mortals was nothing to an Angry God. This was the FIRST battle that our heroes could NEVER win. It was like they were trying to fight against GOD HIMSELF. No....they WERE fighting GOD HIMSELF. They tried to resist GOD'S power and they suffered GOD'S wrath for Zamasu will NOW and FOREVER be known as: THE DEVIL OF DRAGON BALL.

As for the World of Future world that was DESTINED to be DESTROYED by both SATAN(Zamasu) AND dark, dark timeline will NOW and FOREVER be known TIMELINE OF
