Dream Dancing II

In 1950 to 1954 I was a student @ Notre Dame and was waiting at a bus stop in downtown South Bend. A private bus pulls up and Ray Anthony steps out and asks me how to get to the N.D. Campus. His Band was going to play at one of the Class's Prom's. I told him I was a student there and I'd be happy to jump on his bus and direct him there. Ray Anthony was at the top of my list of bands and I had many of his records. He was very nice and friendly.I was walking on top of clouds for a few days after that meeting.

Amazing your repertoire but then you came from a time when music was truly good music. I came along later, 13 years later from your birth but was playing twenties, thirties and forties music in bands at 16 when I was still in high school. I never took to rock 'n roll though it was coming in like the plague around 1955-56. I had a great career in music--featured nightly in New York for 17 years. I had several of your "Dream Dancing" albums as a young man and loved everyone of them. I hope in some way you are still playing. Don't put away that golden horn for you were a truly golden talent. Wishing you the best.
