I'd buy that for a dollar! Great way to fill out collections and books in older hard to find series. Your secrets will now become our skills.

There are two established booksellers that I regularly use which deal in remainders mostly. The first is Daedalus Books and the second is Edward R Hamilton, HamiltonBook. Also if one is willing to wait for delivery I would suggest trying trying the UK Book Depository because with the shipping free, no taxes, and current exchange rates as they are it can be the lesser cost. Also I have learned to check abebooks searching for least cost and new books. Sometimes you will find sellers heavily discounting new releases and sometimes you will actually find the Book Depository offering the same new book with free shipping even cheaper than on their own website! I have not been able to tell the difference except in cost between the two ways of ordering. Also when using the UK Book Depository website always use an affiliate code. Several UK booktubers have them and it does not add to your cost in any way.

Because I have such a huge TBR at the moment, I stopped buying used, even though it was one of my favorite hobbies to do. I now mostly buy new books and I order them off of B&N.com. I pay the $25 a year for free shipping and they also send me coupons fairly regularly in my email and mail. They also have some special deals going on every week on the site. So, I stack the deals to get cheaper new books, saving me much more than if I ordered it off Amazon. Also, each year they sell gift cards during the holidays where you get free $10 gift cards when you buy the gift cards. I stock up for the upcoming year by using Christmas money and then spend all the free gift cards after Christmas on my personal Christmas present.

So for example, recently, B&N.com had a buy 2 get 1 free deal on all Marvel/DC trades. They also had a 15% your whole order that is above $50. I ended up getting 6 trade comics for $45, after I used my three $10 free codes, I only paid $15 in all. They usually have a 2 for 1 deal on Image comics around February. Very often they'll have a 2 hardcovers for $30 or a 3 trade paperbacks for $30 deal and I just wait to buy the books I really want during those deal times or use one of the 20% coupons I get in my mail/email.

Even though I said all that, I am trying to cut back on my spending this year.

I love cheap books. Two of my favourite websites for buying books are thriftbooks and abebooks. Libraries, used book stores, independent sellers use these sites and their selection is generally very good. Abebooks is more for out of print books. I haven't been able to stump thriftbooks yet with my requests for obscure books either. Books average at S3.59 and shipping is free for orders over $10. I highly recommend you check them out if you don't mind used books.

Darn paying for books. XD But of course we love supporting our authors. <3 I have been to three library sales here so far and it's nearly impossible to find SF or fantasy books. :( Never thought about dollar stores, I'll have to try it out, but I've found some great books at Goodwill and thrift stores. I do love my used book stores in this area, too. Fun video, thanks!

if there is a particular title I'm after, I often use booko, which is an online price comparison site for books.
