I feel once we have the next gen consoles with the powerful SSD. These types of games load times will completely upgrade the game experience overall. Right now the load times are quite bad.

Great review i played first pillars on ps4 and near the end the loading times were unbearable but could not fault the gameplay.

The load times aren't an issue for me. I played almost 700 hours on the first one fucking around, got to the last boss on hard and couldn't beat him because I didn't even lvl all the way! The game was and is amazing and I just recently got it on PS4. I just bought the 2nd and I can't wait to check it out. Very good review my friend, nice and concise without the bullshit.

Dont know if anyone else is having this issue, but I'm playing on Xbox and cant figure out a way to keep the combat log up all the time and to resize it/make it smaller. I can pull it up but it takes up half the screen and wont stay up. Also seems like it only tracks the last 20 actions taken till combat ends.

My load times are around 35-40 sec a time, 20 hours in on Pro with HDD, not SSD, only got 8 saves however.

I, for one, do not mind the load screens. Give a chance to rest and build my patience.

Just wanted to ask if the game is now fully voiced, including narration? As the 1st game was only partially voiced.

Ah I really wanted to play this, bought the first game for ps4. Loading times wore me down pretty fast. If they can make it run smoothly, like the DoS 2 port, I'll pick it up

Just a heads up to anyone who picks this up, the game has corruption issues. This means making many hard saves is necessary to make sure you don't lose all your progress, but many people say that their games load more quickly when they have less saves. So if is a trade off

I really want to get this but I haven't finished the first one.. I had to restart because it kept getting stuck on the loading... I left it and it never loaded so I figured it glitched out or something.

Thank you kindly for the review. One thing I wanted to point out is the lack of X and Pro support. It is a bitter disappointment for this to happen to a game in 2020 and the aliasing and shadow dithering comes off as quite distracting.

Edit: I noticed that at the start of the review, PS4 version is stated to be reviewed, yet the footage, judging by the button prompts, is from Xbox One rendition.
