This is good inspiration for me to attempt a basic system myself. One thing people can use for the rod guide is a replacement or old office chair caster wheel. Personally, I think people tend to overthink this part. The Lansky system, for example, just uses holes at various angles for the guide. An intricate guide is not that necessary but cool if you want to go through the effort.
