Cyberpunk 2077 Just Got A MASSIVE 60 GB Update - Next Gen Patch, NEW DLC, Gameplay Changes, & MORE!

After much waiting, CD Projekt Red is finally delivering their next gen update for Cyberpunk 2077. Of course, this arrives during one of the busiest months of the year. This update clocks in at 60 GB offer a lot of adjustment, enhancements, and changes to the base game. There is much to go over so let's delay no further and discuss all that's here!

I played around for a couple hours on PS5. It definitely seems to look a lot better. I kept switching between RT and performance mode, both are gorgeous. Guess I can finally play it

The biggest two things i would like to see is the police/wanted system improved, and simply more interactivity with the city.

multiple highly requested features since launch were added in this update. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do next. I think the priority should be introducing police chases as well as a way to respec your attribute points. Vehicle customization would also be great. Imagine bringing your car to a mechanic and having them swap out parts, add body armor, etc. The story, characters, and overall world design of Cyberpunk were always top tier, but with the addition of these new features and improvements, they can make a big comeback with this game. They'd just need to find a way to get these updates out faster and do a better job at keeping the community informed on their progress.

Downloaded the next gen update last night and played for two hrs. So far it's a massive improvement. Combat is so much more intuitive. Enemy's are actually quite dangerous now and don't make things easy for you. The Ray tracing at 30 frames for second is surprisingly not bad at all and the game not only looks much better now than it did before but the HDR is gorgeous. Lots of stuff I haven't tried yet but I'm going to be diving back into this game now and I can't wait for some expansion news.

This looks like an excellent baseline to start putting out DLC from, the game needed this. Gonna start my second playthrough now, and a 3rd whenever NG+ gets added.

This update just shows how much of an early access release the original release date was. It’s a good game with great graphics and an interesting story but these are basic features that should’ve been there from the start that are just now being added.

Good improvements. Glad that we're now moving along with game leading up to the expansions. Hopefully there's more story filled quests. I loved the story of this game but I definitely wish it was longer to meet new and have more interactions with the characters we met. Yes, Panam is the babe. Judy is a sweetheart too. Looking forward to this game bouncing back. Great video.

As someone who uses a ps4 slim with a 4tb internal ssd for the past month. Cyberpunk runs pretty damn well with this update. I believe the game "can" run on last gen but it needs a ssd instead of the stock hdd. Since theres so much going on screen it makes since why the last gen launch was extremely rough the stock hdd had trouble processing assets and inputs.

Started my third playthrough as Street Kid and it is noticeably cleaner, smoother, and clearer on PS5. Definitely going for the platinum on PS5. Super pumped for what DLC they start dropping from here on out.

Hmm, I may wait to play when there is more content. This is a great update for new players, but returning players won’t get too much. I was hoping we would have gotten some type of timetable for when to expect the expansions, but I guess they got pushed back a while.

I heavily criticized Cyberpunk in the past, not because i hated it, but because i really think there is strong potential in this game that needs to be fully realized, today i was initially hoping for an expansion reveal at best, but what we got was even better, i was kind of worried that they will continue turning a blind eye to the many problems of the game outside of buggs, but this is the improvements that many of us were wanting especially with the newer features, weapons, mechanics and AI improvements that add the much needed immersion and depth to the game, i dont care how long we have to wait for the newer expansions or whatever new game they are working on, Cdpr should turn this game to the masterpiece that it deserves to be and i hope this is the beginning of many changes that will hopefully come in the future.

Played a bit this evening and it definitely feels more fleshed out. I'm very pleased. Definitely should have been what we got at launch, but I'd rather have it redeemed than ditched.

This game is very solid now. Performs and looks great on the series x. If it had shipped in this state it would be a contender for GOTY.

The FSR implementation in this Patch is so good, especially if you compare it to others like Far Cry 6. the image quality at Ultra Quality FSR is way better than turning the settings down. I can barely run the game at 30fps 900p low settings on my low end laptop at launch. Now I can get 30-45fps at High Settings+FSR. definitely a reason for me to start a new playthrough.

Thanks CDPR! I love the story of this game, the tech issues are just my problems but now it has greatly improved.
