Pokemon Sun & Moon's horrible English dub - Strider VLogs

You know what I love about the anime? THAT BEWEAR. THAT THING MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD I ENJOYED THE ENTIRE THING A LITTLE BETTER. But yea, this anime is really bad and me and my sis made fun of it while watching. Also, I really love the Pokémon games but the anime’s are just lousy to me.

Good god, as a person who played Moon (Not sun because I like Moon's legendary better), I LOVED the team of that region. They were silly and semi incompetent and fun....But no, not the anime. Anime's Team Skull is, let's just say incorrect to understate it.
Friend of mine has been watching it just so he could see Guzma in the anime to see how much he was butchered, as Guzma is both of our favorite character. Has not shown up. At all. They've gone very much past the point in the game where he would've shown his ugly mug, and still has not shown. I can't tell if this is a blessing because he won't be botched, or a curse because he might've been the only redeeming quality to the show.
DO NOT get me started on lillie's voice.

Say what you want about 4Kids and their renaming of riceballs to "Donuts", but they did a much better job than what the pokemon company are doing now. I cringe so hard at the new english dub. The voice acting and the voices themselves are just downright awful. I still hate Sarah Natochenny's voice for Ash. I wish they would bring back Ash's original voice actress Veronica Taylor.

Howdy! Doing a Vlog series and I wanted to start with my thoughts on the sun and moon cartoon dub

I think the dub is okay. If you don't like the dub, then I recommend the subbed. The Sun and Moon anime is a different turn from the original animation but, in my opinion, I actually like how it's more comedic in expression. But, I'm in the minority who likes both dub and sub. And the Sun and Moon anime does have mixed reactions and if you don't like the anime, then that's fine! It's a change and a hard one to sit through, but if you're looking for some good dub or sub, then I recommend Pokémon XYZ. Anyway, I love Sun and Moon and the anime. I guess it's just personal preference.

I haven't been a strong follower of the anime since the time it was on Cartoon Network's saturday mornings, but I still appreicate when it does something right. The last thing I was big on in the Pokemon anime was the season wrap up to Pokemon XYZ where the animation was stellar, the emotions were true and genuine where you could cheer or cry with the heroes as they're desperately trying to stop a mad man from destroying all life on the planet. It was just an amazing end to X and Y. But when I saw the new animation style for Sun and Moon, I was instantly turned off. It didn't feel like an amazing action packed anime anymore like it was in the previous season. It turned far more comedic and slice of life which isn't really what I'm looking for in Pokemon. However, I have been seeing that as Sun and Moon continued on, it covered some very interesting stories even having an episode dealing with the death of a mentor/father figure for a Pokemon. Not really something you'd expect out of a series that looks and sounds the way this one does, but they did and it was very well done. I know it might not be your cup of tea Strider, or anyone else for that matter, but I do at least recommend looking through some of the more higher rated episodes of the series just to see what it's like when they do something good.

Am I the only one that enjoys the English dub sun and moon anime? I think it's legitimately enjoyable, and finally breaks away from a repetitive formula to pave the way for more interesting Pokemon seasons.

The worst thing is the music. It's too generic to be told apart from others, too subtle when it comes to drama, and ruins dramatic moments. In fact, it seems to be more washed up than the main character himself.

The Sun and Moon dub is compleltely fine. Completely fine.

I don't want to sound rude, but your Rant sounds like one of those nostalgia glasses rants. Like how people defend the old funimation dub of DBZ, when these days that dub is bad as any 90's dub of anime.

I know that people complain about how they miss the 4kids cast, stuff like that. But the new cast has been doing this dub longer than the 4kids dub and they sound perfectly fine, to be honest.

I did not like the premise of Sun and Moon like really Ash going to school no thank you but I am not even into pokemon that much but I enjoyed black and white just not something I would be interested in

They got rid of all the music and replaced it with dumb recycled music. They even got rid of sad music and gave those scenes tom and jerry/ 90s batman music for some reason.

I tried to watch an episode of the English dub and had to turn away ten seconds into it because it was so cringy. It's fine if people like it, but it's irritating when fans claim that people just don't like it because they're Gen I fanatics, Gen VI fanatics, etc. No, I don't like it because A) I feel the animation, storylines, and dubbing are inferior and B) they keep teasing that Ash is going to win, but never let him (except for Orange Islands, which I enjoyed). Shoot, they barely let him catch Pokemon anymore.

I tried to avoid Pokémon sun and moon when it first came on ...I’ve watched some of it and I didn’t hate it but I didn’t like it I watched it when there’s nothing better to watch 😓
